Why Russia is invading Ukraine, explained in 2 minutes – Vox
I followed the riots occurring in Kiev, Ukraine months ago and the atrocities that were occurring from their government, and at times, the Ukrainian public. These riots then led to a destabilised government and which Russia took advantage of, sending ‘Pro-Russian Rebels’ into Eastern Ukraine. These rebels were suspected to be Russian soldiers, but Russia has not officially acknowledged them as being Russian. The rebels took advantage of the collapsed government, invading eastern Ukraine and taking the Crimean peninsula of Ukraine. Below is a two minute video briefly explaining the situation as it is currently in Ukraine. Another good series is with Vice news. Vice News started filming the views and situation in Ukraine from a Ukrainian perspective, and I hope you find them informational.
